Time
Life unfolds in seasons, each with its purpose - moments of birth and death, planting and harvest, loss and renewal. There are times of sorrow and joy, holding close and letting go, silence and speech, love and conflict. Every experience, whether peaceful or painful, has its appointed place under heaven, shaping the rhythm and balance of life. Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. James 4:14
Time is perhaps the most valuable commodity we have. It is finite, fleeting, and non-renewable. Every day we are given 24 hours and every week 168 hours, to live intentionally - to love God, to serve others, to strengthen family bonds and friendships, to be a blessing, to work faithfully, and to rest in His peace.

Yet, the question remains, how are you spending the time God has entrusted to you? Every moment matters because our lives are part of God’s divine plan and purpose on Earth. And with Jesus’ promised return, our use of time takes on eternal significance.
Stephen lived 2,487.71 weeks (17,414 days/417,936 hours) from June 23, 1977, to February 25, 2025. His life and sudden death reminds us how swiftly time passes.
Over 2,487.71 weeks, Stephen experienced victories and defeats, joys and sorrows, moments of confusion and seasons of clarity, times of uncertainty and deep conviction, but above all his life was woven with experiences, memories, and connections that (hopefully) left a lasting impact on others.
What about your life? When your life is remembered one day, what do you hope people will say about you? What moments, acts of love, or words of encouragement will stand out in their hearts? Where are you investing your time? What will your legacy be?
We each have only 24 hours in a day, 168 hours in a week of time that can never be reclaimed. How we spend it will shape the story we leave behind. And the decisions we make here will effect where we spend our eternity. Every hour counts. Every decision matters. Live today with purpose, knowing that your life is a divine mission and that eternity awaits.
Eternity
With the Lord, one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 2 Peter 3:8
The scripture above reminds us that God’s perspective is eternal, far beyond our human measurement of time. While a day on Earth passes quickly, God’s plan is timeless. If we consider it mathematically, it highlights how brief our earthly days are compared to the endlessness of eternity.
Imagine a million years. That’s ten thousand lifetimes of 100 years each. It would be like counting every grain of sand on a beach and you’d still be no closer to the end of eternity because eternity never ends. Ecclesiastes 3:11 reminds us, “He has set eternity in the human heart.” That means deep down, we all know life here is short.
The idea that a day in heaven equals 1,000 years on Earth is used to emphasize God's timeless nature rather than being a literal formula for time conversion. However, Mathematically -
Heaven to Earth Conversion
Rule - 1 day in Heaven = 1,000 years on Earth = 365,000 Earth days
1 Heaven day = 365,000 Earth days
1 Heaven hour = 365,000 ÷ 24 ≈ 15,208.33 Earth days ≈ 41.67 Earth years
1 Heaven minute = 15,208.33 ÷ 60 ≈ 253.47 Earth days ≈ 0.694 years
1 Heaven second = 0.694 ÷ 60 ≈ 0.01157 years ≈ 4.22 days
Earth to Heaven Conversion
1 Earth year = 365 Earth days
1 Heaven day = 365,000 Earth days
Heaven days = Earth days ÷ 365,000 = 365 ÷ 365,000 ≈ 0.001 Heaven days
Heaven hours = 0.001 × 24 ≈ 0.024 hours
Heaven minutes = 0.024 × 60 ≈ 1.44 minutes
Heaven seconds = 1.44 × 60 ≈ 86.4 seconds
≈ means “approximately equal to"
*The difference in values comes from rounding conventions -
Table 2 (Earth → Heaven) shows precise calculation: *1.44 min
Table 3 (Earth months → Heaven minutes) *1.41 rounds to 2 decimal places using slightly different assumptions for days/months.
*All calculations rounded to keep measurements as accurate a possible
If 100 years is like a single drop of water, eternity is like the endless ocean. The drop is small, quick, and gone before you know it. The ocean is vast, immeasurable, and never runs dry. Where you spend eternity matters infinitely more than the short years you have here- eternal life is only found in Jesus. John 3:16.

Eternity never ends. Every choice here echoes forever. The question is:
Who will you spend it with?
